Bill Williamson

In 1980, Bill and Dawn moved to San Francisco where their second start-up software venture also proved successful. During the course of his business life, Bill worked with major wineries extending his love for fine wines and a comprehensive understanding of the wine industry. After several years the Australian-born Williamson husband-and-wife team sold their company to pursue their shared dream of growing premium grapes and making fine wines.

This passion for excellence in fine wine has driven them to take personal control of the entire grape-to-glass process starting in the vineyard and ending with the bottling and sales of their wines through the Williamson Wines Tasting Room in Healdsburg, California. Dedicated to dealing directly with the people who drink their wines, Bill and Dawn have built an exclusive wine club where members enjoy sharing the benefits of a wine country lifestyle.

Bill is also active as the president of the board of Sonoma County Vintners Co-op, Inc. providing storage and logistics for 140 wineries. He is a partner in a Web applications software company and is currently developing a helicopter wine tour company.
